Co-Director of Program & Learning

My position as the Co-Director of Learning allows me to inform and spark discussions regarding major sociological & political policies, thus initiating acknowledgement and positive change. My belief is that each of us have a unique set of personalities, circumstances, personal connections, yet we can bond together by our shared humane. The endeavor into the social sciences also broaden my view on the complexity of human interactions.

Co-Director of Program & Learning (Online for 2020-21)

Highlights

  • Organized and promoted more than 15 events averaging 15-20 people each. Topics include social medias’ impact, Ukraine-Russian war, Canadian housing crisis, and Climate change.

  • Created a 20-attendee online documentary night with the focus on international students’ experiences in Toronto, emphasizing high living costs and predatory business practices from private Canadian colleges

  • Retained 80% of members at the end of the year when compared to our first meeting (20 -> 16 members).

  • Analyzed social research data to create 4 policies for mental health reform; submitted to UofT.
